VOLUNTEER
Your support helps the PTO create meaningful experiences for our students, teachers, and families throughout the year. From funding teacher grants and supporting school events to organizing family activities and appreciation programs, every volunteer makes a difference.
Whether you choose to volunteer a few hours at an event, or serve all year on a committee, we appreciate your interest in being part of the Drew PTO!

COMMITEE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
ROOM PARENTS
The support and assistance of a room parent is invaluable! Room parents are organized by the PTO Room Parent Chair. You'll be providing extra support to our fantastic teachers, as well as keeping your class parents up-to-date on upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
Note: Room parents will need to get Level 3 volunteer clearance through the School.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
This committee is in charge of planning our fun community events like Screen on the Green and Parents Night Out. Volunteer to assist our chairpersons with event planning, vendor procurement, event set-up and coordinating student volunteers.
FAMILY & STAFF PARTNERSHIPS
Dedicated to supporting and celebrating our teachers and staff throughout the year.
This committee hosts quarterly faculty appreciation initialtives as well as Teacher
Appreciation week.
FAMILY SUPPORT & RESOURCES
Provide programs that support our families and give students the resources they need to
thrive at Drew. This committee hosts the Eagle Giving celebration, Babysitting
Certification course and Uniform Exchanges.
FUNDRAISING
Manage PTO fundraising efforts throughout the year. Plan and manage Family Dine
Outs, holiday plant sales and PTO merchandise.
HEALTH, WELLNESS & SAFETY
Partners with Safe Routes to School in hosting our monthly Walk & Roll to school days.
Represents the PTO in conversations regarding traffic safety around the school.
DREW DADS
Connect male role models at Drew Charter School in order to equip them to be the best
men they can be and to serve Drew Charter School and our community.
PTO GRANTS
Promote teacher grants initiatives once a semester, then select and award grants to
Drew faculty/staff.
